  3. I thought the professor was taking the highway to hell this winter? I think was fair weather Joe talking because I can never get him out on hard water. However he swears we are going to try an open water trip on the big pond in March. How about those Packers?

  5. Hi Andy...I mentioned a trip up north on the highway to hell to the missus. She reminded me of my tendency to be a bit of a wuss in winter and offered me an alternative--eight days sampling the region north of San Francisco. I took it.

Yesterday we hiked through the largest stand of giant redwood trees in North America, then returned to our lodging overlooking the cliffs above the Pacific and opened a bottle of wine to go along with hot crab cakes. Good thing I'm back on the sauce because we have been hitting vinyards galore. The weather has been sunny and up to the mid-60's in the afternoons. It's been like this for the past week. I've been a very lucky boy.

I'll consider the video challenge upon my return.

  7. Gord,

I would like to feature the wussy in a slide show but the free version of animoto is limited to 30 seconds. Can we use other sites as well and just add a link?

  8. Andy........sure! If you have a site that allows longer versions why not post a link. That way Perchmaster or others could use it to stay in the competition.

  9. Is this another one of those "contests" where the rules are a bit fuzzy and the scoring is a bit inaccurate? Who won?
